Good Morning Folks

The morning papers, brought to him [Cincinnatus] with a cup of tepid chocolate by Rodion, the local sheet Good Morning Folks [Priglashenie na kazn': S Dobrym Utrechkom], and the more serious daily Voice of the Public, teemed as always with color photographs. (Invitation to a Beheading, chapter 2)

He [Adam Kozlevich] became a model prisoner, he wrote exposes in verse in the prison paper, The Sun Rises and Sets ["Solntse vskhodit i zakhodit"*]... (Ilf & Petrov, The Golden Calf, chapter 3)

The phrase s dobrym utrechkom! also occurs in Lolita (1.29): (and for some minutes I miserably dozed, and Charlotte was a mermaid in a greenish tank, and somewhere in the passage Dr. Boyd said "Good morning to you" in a fruity voice, and birds were busy in the trees, and then Lolita yawned.)

Incidentally, Humbert Humbert writes his Confession of a White Widowed Male in prison and Dolorez Haze was born less than three hundred miles from stimulating Cincinnati (1.31).

*The first line of a popular "folk" song (sung by the dossers in Gorky's play At the Bottom):
