Pale Fire wiki?

I'm glad to learn that the discussion I'm participating in is
interesting to some participants on the list!

This seems like as good a place as any to mention something
that's been on my mind for a long time. Hypertext seems like
a perfect medium for a discussion of /Pale Fire/, and maybe
some would like to acquire a Web site and put their views on
the book there with many internal links. An interesting
student project, Tiffany?

On a bigger scale, what about a PF wiki? It would be much
like Wikipedia, but wouldn't have to have the same rules
(for instance, anonymous editors wouldn't have to be allowed).
The many people who are interested in the book could share
their knowledge in one place, easier to search than the archives
of this list and more comprehensive than any book, with different
topics linked to form a real web of sense. The growth of Wikipedia
shows how powerful collaboration can be in such an enterprise.

It might be utopian to hope that new insights would emerge
from having facts so easily accessible and closely linked.

Not offering to host or manage such a project, I remain yours,
etc.,

Jerry Friedman
