James - Thanks for posting the link to the beautiful essay by William
Dowling. But doesn't the "WUL" (where "I" is looking the stuff up)
rule out Nabokov as the narrator? It doesn't spoil the fun for me,
but why is this acronym inserted where it is? To suggest Botkin?
