Does anyone have some strong opinions about VN's attitude toward
religion? I'm wondering why he seemed more interested early on -- there
is plenty of religious imagery in the poetry -- and became so
disinterested later. Youthful exuberance? While this is not a particularly
unusual occurence (esp. for many 20th c. writers), I was curious about
tracking down Biblical references (like Menetek El-pharsim, etc.) and
started to wonder about the more philosophical issue.
