I've received my copy of the Daedalus remainder of the
Olympia Press Lolita. Odd thing about it, something I've
never seen before. The second volume of the two-volume set
is a true, clean 4th printing. But the first volume is a
4th printing cover with 3rd printing pages. But, when you
are looking at Olympia Press books from a craftsman point
of view, you almost expect some sloppiness or corner
cutting. In fact, I own a first edition with multiple
blank pages, making the book unreading in sections.

I asked someone at Daedalus about the source of this
Lolita, so many years after its printing. He said that he
bought them from a remainder dealer in Europe, where the
book and others from the Olympia press, have been sold
there for a while. My source also said that he had had
copies of a later Lolita printing with the stained-glass
butterfly on the cover, but that he has completely sold
those out now.

However, those butterfly versions are available now from
Barnes and Noble (800-242-6657) at $5.98 each, item #A116440.
B&N's source was Daedalus.
