While browsing through the 'Photography' section of a bookstore the other
day, I looked through a collection of photos by Bert Stern, who is
well-known for his portraits and other glimpses of Hollywood notables over
the years (Liz Taylor with Richard Burton, Marilyn Monroe nudes, etc.). He
was hired as the still photographer for the Kubrick LOLITA. The book
includes a marvelous extreme close up of VN, as well as about four shots of
Sue Lyon, one or two of them with heart-shaped glasses and lollipop, comic
book, etc. The best is a two-page color print of Ms. Lyon draped in a
wooden folding chair, with a slightly out-of-focus neon sign in the
background: MOTEL.

The last page in the section with these photos has a more recent (1990 or
1991) photo of a studio model as LOLITA: nude torso, lollipop, heart-shaped
glasses.

There is also a paragraph or so in the preamble to the book in which Stern
reflects very briefly on his 'gig' as the photographer for the film.
