I appeal to the collective wisdom of this list as I am trying to locate the
exact source of Nabokov's assertion that no work of fiction had ever
benefitted from having a genre label conferred upon it. Was it in _The
Strong Opinions_, or in the _Lectures on Russian Literature_, or am I
completely off-track here?
