Quite by chance I notice that the 1904 Catalogue of Nabokov's father's
library contains the following:

532. Bell, _Jane Eyre_. Leipzig, 1880, Vol. 1-2.

Bell, of course, is Currer Bell, the pen name under which Charlotte
published _Jane_. It is probably a Tauchnitz edition, as were many of the
English novels in the family library.

This does not prove that Nabokov knew the book, but it is certainly
possible.
