On a related note: The index to the VN-EW Letters in Zembla lists a
reference to the Brontes on p. 18 of the 1980 English edition, p. 53 of the
German edition. There are no Bronte or Jane Eyre entries in John Demoss's
index to Strong Opinions.
ADDENDUM from DBJ. The above noted reference is from Simon Karlinsky's
Introduction. VN himself makes no reference to the Brontes.
