Just an update.
"Pre-viewed" copies of the Lyne film of LOLITA are now available at
Blockbuster Video stores at $4.99, but there's also a $2.00 off sale on
all previewed videos. I just got a copy for a grand total of $2.99. FWIW.

If you want to buy Adrian Lyne's Lolita, go to any one of the popular
Internet auction sites, such as eBay, Yahoo, Amazon.com. You can bid on
at least six distributions of the film:

Previously rented distribution via Blockbuster on VHS ($15 - $50)
Canadian distribution on VHS ($15 - $50)
Emmy award consideration distribution on VHS ($15 - $50)
Hong Kong distribution, in English with Chinese subtitles, on DVD ($30
- $100)
Ditto on laserdisk ($30 - $60)
Ditto on VCD ($30 - $60)

Or you can contact one of the auction sellers directly. For instance,
Tony Fok at filmbuff@yahoo.com (id is "1888" on eBay) appears to be
reliable.

If you hear of other distributions, please let me know.
