The following are new to ZEMBLA (see the 'news' page for links):

1) Excerpts from VERA (MRS. VLADIMIR NABOKOV) by Stacy Schiff. Thanks to
Stacy Schiff and Random House for permitting the appearance of the
excerpts. An exclusive interview with Schiff, conducted by Suellen
Stringer-Hye, is forthcoming.

2) "Moia zhizn' s Nabokovym" (My Life with Nabokov) [in Russian], an
engaging memoir by Sergey Il'in, leading translator of Nabokov's English
works into Russian. Thanks to Sergey Il'in for allowing his memoir to
appear, and to Maxim D. Shrayer for suggesting it.

3) "A Dozen Notes to Nabokov's Short Stories" by Maxim D. Shrayer, author
of THE WORLD OF NABOKOV'S STORIES (University of Texas Press, 1999). Thanks
to Maxim D. Shrayer for providing his essay, and to Steve Parker, editor of
THE NABOKOVIAN, where the article first appeared last spring, for
permitting its republication in ZEMBLA.
