Wasn't Dusty Yesky also talked about by William Safire in a piece awhile
back in context with those southerners who read the poems of "Lowered Barn"
and the novels of "Gorvey Doll"? I think Safire mentioned at least the
latter among winners of the "Pullet Surprise", tho' I may be mistaken. [A
wonderful old William Safire piece on folks "take" on names; there were many
more....].
