Further to Alexey's correct identification of Kapuskan at least in part with
the town of Kapuskasing in Ontario, the town like much of Ontario away from
the Great Lakes comes from an area where French is almost as widely spoken
as English: hence "Kapuskan patois." Of course on Antiterra "Canady" in
general is more Francophone than on Terra.
