Dear friends, as I have never met as educated and intelligent people as the
List contributors are, I dare to propose a not truly Nabokovian question.
In the 4th film of Krzystof Kieslowky DEKALOG actors are preparing a play.
There are such lines: "Good night (says heroine), we will no longer tarry
here. May sleep enfold thee on his sable breath. Good night and respite find
from every tear Turn thy dear eyes towards me..."
Would you please consult me what is it?
