Dear Dmitri,

Your recent contributions reminded to look a little more into the
Glitterntin problem I posed you earlier. And indeed, it was a spelling
problem that prevented me from finding the Norwegian mountain
Glittertind(en). With that problem solved I was able to google up the
description of a hike up Norway's second highest peak and a description in
Norwegian of what appears to be a dispute surrounding that designation.

May I also take this opportunity to thank the editor for his birthday
greetings and note that since my birthday coincides with that of Robert
Louis Stevenson I hope that if I should ever be remembered in Nabokovian
circles, it will be for my discovery - - may it someday be proved! - - that
Pale Fire is Nabokov's reworking of RLS's Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Herzliche grüsse von ihre
Carolyn
