But there do seem to be some things about Nabokov we still don't know
freundliche Grüsse von Deiner Carolyn

Carolyn dear: That's the way he wanted it. Warm greetings, D.

Dear Dmitri,

I know. But do the dead, no matter how dear, have a right to privacy? And if so, to how much?

Your father himself, for example, did not respect the privacy of Proust - - the ugly story he refers to in Ada is rather "beyond the Pale" isn't it? Is your father entitled to more privacy than he would extend to Proust? Wieso?
