KINBOTE is the name of a new Dutch literary magazine, the first issue of
which appeared in June 2005, published by Prometheus, Amsterdam.
The editors state "Poetry which looks like a report, fiction disguised as
autobiography, a journalistic commentary moulded as a short story. All this,
too, in the spirit of Charles Kinbote, the protagonist of Pale Fire, the
enigmatic novel of Vladimir Nabokov of 1962." (p. 004)

The first contribution is an article entitled "Kinbote" by the Dutch writer
Hafid Bouazza and is an introduction to VN's novel as a hell of mirrors.
