Playboy Goes Digital As Hefner Closes Office, Sells Mansion

Playboy and Bondi Digital have launched Playboy Archive! Viewers can now peruse issues of Playboy dating from 1954 to 2007 -- Free! Each issue will appear exactly as the original, complete with advertisements. Bondi Digital, who also archived The Complete New Yorker, has meticulously scanned every page of these selected gems."Playboy has an incredibly rich history and an intensely loyal readership," says Hugh M. Hefner, Playboy Founder, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Creative Officer. "This is the perfect opportunity to offer them something they have always wanted and also a great way to allow a whole new generation to easily explore the magazine."

You'll also find interviews with Jimmy Carter (1976), Fidel Castro(1985) and Miles Davis (1962). The fiction writers in this archive include Arthur C. Clarke, Roald Dahl, James Baldwin and Vladimir Nabokov. There's also a memoir written by Jean-Paul Sartre. With all the free porn online these days, when someone says they buy Playboy for the articles, they may be telling the truth
