Even with the "heavy-handed jargon" it makes some interesting points, and
other films from the 1970s (*Pretty Baby, Taxi Driver) *through the most
recent decade (*Bully, Hound Dog*) could be similarly analyzed. What seem
to be missing are films in which gender plays a significant role in
determining what falls into the "undecidable" area of youth sexuality
(unless one would endeavor to assess, for example, made-for-TV fare about
Mary Kay LeTourneau or Debra LaFave).
