EDITOR'S NOTE: The message below is a follow-up to an earlier one in
which Eric Roman offered a theory about how the Olympia Press LOLITA
suddenly and improbably turned up in US book mail order houses. His
theory still looks plausible to me. I am told by another source that the
Daedalus LOLITA probably does not have great value as a collector's item.

Dear Dr. Johnson,
I would like to make amend. Time does fly, and I forgot to check
my sources. Girodias did not die last year.

Maurice Girodias died on July 3 or 4th, 1990 (there is a
discrepancy in the obituaries I read in US newspapers). If you want a
chuckle or two read some of the obits.

Sincerely
Eric
