I remember a friend in Franco's Spain once telling me, as he slapped a
stamp with the dictator's picture on it onto a letter: "I love these
stamps: this way I can spit on the bastard every day!" a sentiment
probably echoed in other dictatorial regimes. I'd rather keep VN on my
shelves and by my bedside any day.
