KUZMANOVIC REPLY: Most of me tells me no. But in either case I neither
seek nor would accept any credit for it. The writer of _Hollywood
Babylon_ (where I am almost certain I got much if not all of the original
information) may feel differently.
My Presbyterian college library happens not to have a copy of
_Hollywood Babylon_, but just in case _Hollywood Babylon_ is not the
text in question, I remember the book's cover featuring (in
1975) a black-and-white photograph of a woman with scarlet lips and
yellow hair for a cheap Warhol effect.

KUZMANOVICH: _The Nabokovian_ serves the same purpose for Nabokov readers.
But I do value _The Explicator_ highly and send my students to it
regularly. Still, I want nothing to do with any effort to provide a real
life counterpart for any of the characters in _Lolita_. There is no future
in it.
