some years ago, i don't remember how many (five? six?), glenn horowitz let
me examine,
over the course of several days, the vn library he was rooming down the corridor
from his main business office at east 44th street off of lexington. at
that time he
was anticipating and preparing a sales catalog of the collection. some of
the items
kevin burns mentions were not there when i was. basically there were many
translations
of vn's works, some in languages vn knew with annotations (his? vera's?).
i do remember
a few such in german. there were other authors' works and his own works,
some with
corrections to be incorporated into later printings or editions. i do not
have my notes
with me as i write this. glenn told me that he was only awaiting the
go-ahead from dmitri
to begin selling the items.
