VERA'S BUTTERFLIES, a catalogue of books from VN's library inscribed to Vera,
many with his annotations, will be available at the beginning of January from
Glenn Horowitz Bookseller, Inc., NYC. I've written the catalogue text, which
details the biblio- and biographical history of each title and edition. The
catalogue will also include an excerpt from his LOLITA: A SCREENPLAY
typescript previously unpublished in English, and essays by Brian Boyd and
Kurt Johnson, Stephen Jay Gould, James Salter, Stacy Schiff, and Michael Wood.

A list of several hundred translations and first editions from VN library (no
signatures or annotations, just his file copies) will also be available.

Anyone interested in either the catalogue or the list can contact me via email
at SarahFunke@AOL.com.

The exhibition of annotated and inscribed books from the library, entitled
"Revised Evidence: Vladimir Nabokov's Dedications, inscriptions, annotations,
and butterfly descriptions," curated by Barbara Bloom, will open April 21,
1999.
