EDITORIAL NOTE. Juan M Martinez <jmm80625@pegasus.cc.ucf.edu> runs an
entertaining Nabokov page called WAXWING.

Has _The New Yorker_ made a practice of making a VN reference every week?
It seems so.

Here's a snippet from an article on Errol Morris, acclaimed (and way
quirky) director of _The Thin Blue Line_ and _Fast, Cheap, and Out of
Control_. Morris' new documentary is about Fred Leuchter -- electric
chair repairman and Holocaust-denier.

Morris: "..And his version of what he [Leuchter] saw in Auschwitz and
what happened to him afterward seems to come right out of Nabokov -- the
clueless narrator, the narrator so far out of touch with what he's saying
that it's totally absurd. But how clueless can he possibly be? That's
the central mystery."

Cheers,

Juan Martinez
