VN Bibliography: synesthesia (fwd)
Dear List,

A Yale UP catalog announces the October publication of Kevin T. Dann,
Bright Colors Falsely Seen: Synaesthesia and the Search for
Transcendental Knowledge, ISBN 0-300-06619-8, $30, the first history
of synaesthesia. From the blurb: "The author debunks Romanitc notions
of the transcendental nature of synaesthesia and shows that although
novelist Vladimir Nabokov was a true synaesthete and eidetic, other
individuals the Romantics considered synaesthetes were not."
