VN who was banned in Russia until circa 1985 is now the subject of a
high school anthology text book, edited by S.R. Fediakin, _V. Nabokov.
Izbrannye_ "A book for the pupil and the teacher" In the series "Classics
for Schools," it includes (in 640 pages) The Defense, The Gift, excerpts
from VN's _Gogol, and some poetry. It also has the full pedagogical
apparatus: a brief biography, handy questions for discussion, essay
topics, etc., etc.
