I can tell you what WAS done: Vera, thinking I had not nearly enough
clothes, and no good ones, gave me two jackets of VN's, a summer one (the
one in the Halsman 66 photo where he's looking for inspiration on the
terrace at the Palace), and a winter one (the one on the photo on the
balcony of his suite, with his arm on the wrought iron: the one used in
the Radnom House centenary ads), and a pair of his shoes. Sweet, if hardly
practical!
