Writing is generally a matter of setting discrete bits of information down,
i.e. digital. Possible examples of analog composition styles are pictograms
or cutting up and mixing analog tape recordings of an oral performance,
methods on the historical margins of literature.
The more interesting question is perhaps how VN anticipated the "novelty" of
hyper-text composition in works of both authentic (Eugene Onegin) and
fictional (Pale Fire) scholarship.
