If you have a moment, I'm curious if you have ever read William Gaddis, especially The Recognitions and what you think of Gaddis compared to Nabokov. I did put a post up a while back to find out if Nabokov had ever voiced an opinion about him, but no one replied. Do you know anything? Brian

ED. I read Gaddis' RECOGNITIONS many years ago with admiratin but little affection.
As far as I know,VN does not mention Gaddis. Whether Gaddis mentions VN, I don't know. Perhaps there is a "Gaddist" out there who can tell us. Off hand, I don't think of similarities.
