EDNOTE. I just browsed the Disseratation Abstracts listings. There are about 218 listed (Abstracts provided) --- to say nothing of the couple of hundreds published books and the thousands of article in two-dozen languages. The Dissertation Abstracts lsitings are by no means complete--even on casual inspection. To say nothing of the tons of Russian and other studies that expand at an exponential rate.
