Meant to add:
The reason you can't get to the afternote this way is that you're not meant
to. The afternotes are rife with spoilers, and although it would take a good
deal of perversity to want to read the Afternotes without having read the
text, it's possible and I would prefer it not to happen by accident.
Therefore one can reach an Afternote only after having waded through the
annotations for a specific chapter(or scrolled to the end). When you reach
the end of the Annotations, click on the highlighted line for the Afternote,
and when it has downloaded, a click, Control-A and Control-C will get you
its complete text.

As a klutz with computers, I have difficulty downloading from Adaonline the
annotations for a given chapter, sometimes getting the text instead (I have
several copies already!
and don't need another hard copy) or even getting both the text and the
annotations (usuall lacking the afternote) The cleverness of the layout
impresses me, but bewilders me as well. Thanks for any help or education on
this.
