Hi,
I have a bibliographic query. I am looking for a good (error-free) edition
of Nabokov's Russian novels (in Russian). I first read Nabokov in a 4 volume
"Ogoniok" edition 1990, which was referred to as notorious by someone on
this forum. Upon looking for a better edition, I found the below, listed
(though not available) on Amazon:
Sobranie sochinenii russkogo perioda v piati tomakh: Stoletie so dnia
rozhdeniia : 1899-1999
by Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov, Publisher: "Simpozium" (2000), ISBN:
5890910515

Is this a good edition? If not, can anyone direct me to one? Also, is there
a collected edition of Nabokov's novels in translation (I mean, Russian
novels translated to English)? And am I right in assuming that there is no
complete collected editions of VN's short stories? I know one is scheduled
by Penguin USA (November 1, 2005), but perhaps there is an earlier one?

Would be grateful for any suggestions.

Cheers, Irena Ksiezopolska

EDNOTE. The Simposium edition is excellent. It should be available from
booksellers in Russian. Try ANNI at <anni@orc.ru>. It also includes the Ruusian
short stories. All of the stories (but in English translation) are available in
a single volume as _THE STORIES OF VLADIMIR NABOKOV_, ed. Dmitri Nabokov.
Publsshed by Knopf in New York and Penguin in the UK several years ago. All of
the Russian novels translated into English are easily available.
