Subject
QUERY: Newspaper in Ithaca
Date
Body
Does anyone happen to know which daily newspaper, if any, VN might have read
while at Cornell in the late 1950's? Would it have been the Syracuse paper?
Binghamton? Ithaca itself? I'm trying to track down where VN might have read
about ice chunks falling from the sky (see "PF"). The Syracuse
Herald-Journal reported the case of Edwin Groff (farmer from Bernville, PA)
on July 31, 1957, though this appears to have been a wire story that was
picked up by papers throughout the country. Where was VN at the end of July
1957?

Thanks,
Matt Roth
