Query re "Terra Incognita"

I have been poking into VN's 1931 story "Terra Incognita". I have a hazy recollection that VN wrote a letter of complaint to (I think) one of the Russian emigre publications in the US (Novyi zhurnal or Novoe Russkoe Slovo) about a story that appeared there that contained strong echoes of his "Terra Incgonita".

I think I have a xerox copy of VN's letter somewhere in my files but can't locate it. Can some kind soul supply the name of the offending story and its author (and perhaps) the bibliogrphic details?

Thanks in advance.
