I hope some of you will enjoy this alternative version of yesterday's anagram:

Платон + штаны + каучук + аз = панталоны + штучка + указ = платан + тошны + указка + чугун - гну = панталык + тушкан + Чоуз + а = Плутон + Каштанка + узы + час - с

каучук - india-rubber; cf. Mynheer van Koek's words in Heine's poem: "Der Gummi ist gut, der Pfeffer is gut" (India-rubber is good, pepper is good)
аз - obs., I; letter A in the old Russian alphabet
штучка - little stunt, etc.
платан - plane-tree
тошны - [they are] sickening
указка - pointer
чугун - cast-iron
гну - gnu
панталык - obs., sense, wits
тушкан - corrupted тушканчик, jerboa (cf. "Mexican jerboa", Ellochka Shchyukin's furs in "The 12 chairs")
Чоуз - Chose, Van's University
Плутон - Pluto
Каштанка - Kashtanka, the eponymous dog (a cross between a dachshund and a mongrel dog) in Chekhov's story
