You know, I do not understand why some of our contributors are so miserly with information. Why not tell us who this mysterious 'Cox' was, Matt? You withheld very interesting information - why? Hoarding? I'm sure our ED won't allow this to go out - so please, Mr ED., send to Matt with my imprecations!

Now, let me tell you something very interesting. Not only is 'Cox' unusual in being a woman folklorist and scholar in 1893, but her books are reprinted by a very interesting publishing house with the very interesting title of Repressed (it's a pun) Publishing.

Repressed Publishing LLC is the premier publisher of historical, genealogical and antiquarian books.  At Repressed Publishing we love books.  Our employees are as passionate about collecting and preserving rare and antiquarian books as they are about publishing them.  So we understand that most of the original books we republish are either unobtainable or cost thousands of dollars to purchase.  We decided to build our business around that gap - people who want to learn from these treasures but either can't find an original copy or don't want to pay exuberant prices.

I would suggest a dip into their online catalogues at repressedpublishing.com

There is also a wikipedia article on Miss or Mrs Cox http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_Roalfe_Cox that is also of interest.

This all took me three minutes. Isn't this forum all about sharing, or am I off in left field yet again?
Carolyn, more generous than thou!

p.s. Do not know if it matters, but in typing Marian, I accidentally typed Marina ... All you Ada-ists take note.
