In "A Noite de Mil Olhos" Brazilian detective-novelist Flavio Moreira da Costa mentions a rural cabaret, filled with youngsters aged from 12 to 18 in "a scenario fit for Polanski or a tropical Nabokov" (p.58).Four pages later he employs the magic word "linda ninfeta."  That's all ( and he doesn't seem to have read a lot of Nabokov either).
