JM: Perhaps I'm wrong (I'm used to that!) but I
understood Sklyarenko's long word-golf to demonstrate ADA's blend of
"Amerussia" and this is why he employed a different set of rules - just
this time.
One can not help noticing Russian Bog
("God") in Log, the Antiterran Supreme Being, that's why I shuttled
between English and Russian words. Deletion and addition of letters
allowed me to visit more interersting places in my "round-the-word" trip. Btw.,
I missed Ford (in Aldous Huxley's The Brave New
World they have Ford for a Lord) in my journey.
I forgot about the "atomic" meaning of
Uranograd, so thanks to Victor.
As to King Alfin, I think B. Boyd in his book links
him in to Alphina, the youngest of Judge Goldsworth's four
daughters.
