BB: "Zembla, with the end of the Roman alphabet in its beginning, and vice versa"

The beginning and end of the Roman alphabet meet in az, the first letter of the old Russian alphabet (azbuka) and the personal pronoun "I" in Old Church Slavonic:

"Az esm' al'fa i omega, nachatok i konets" glagolet Gospod' ("I am the Alpha and the Omega," saith the Lord - John's Revelation 1:8).

"Mne otmshchenie i az vozdam" ("Vengeance is mine; I will repay", saith the Lord. – Romans 12:19; the epigraph to Anna Karenin)
