Well, it is not quite a sighting, but the article about William
Kentridge's upcoming production of Shostakovich/Gogol's The Nose
at the Metropolitan Opera, is called "Laughter in the Dark." Most
likely Nabokovians will be intrigued by Kentridge's various takes on
Nikolai Gogol; some of his videos are available on youtube
