[EDNOTE.  Mike Ravnitsky forwarded a copy of his correspondence with the Library of Congress to assist anyone who would like to examine the Nabokov Papers.  -- SES.]

Dear Mr. Ravnitzky:

The Nabokov Papers are located on-site, so no special arrangements will be
necessary to retrieve this collection when it becomes available for research
on June 23.  Please note that due to the fragile condition of the
collection, the Library has reproduced the Nabokov Papers on microfilm and
researches will be required to consult the microfilm instead of the
originals for preservation purposes.

Let me know if you have additional questions.  You may also wish to direct
an inquiry to Dr. Alice Birney, who is the Manuscript Division's specialist
for the Nabokov Papers, and she can be reached via email at abir@loc.gov, or
telephone 202-707-1090, but please note that Dr. Birney will be on leave
until June 23.
