But I forgive you. Now I will answer this question (posed to moi, n'est-ce pas?) which for some incomprehensible reason was aksed fwice-fwice:
Why is Kinbote relating so many facts that would be obvious to Sybil, with the occasional, natural interjections such as "As you'll remember," or "I'm sure you'll confirm."    ...   Why is Kinbote relating so many facts that would be obvious to Sybil, WITHOUT the occasional, natural interjections such as "As you'll remember," or "I'm sure you'll confirm."

I'm beginning to worry about my suitor's sanity-anityThe answer is simple. Kinbote is writing a preface to Pale Fire, but Shade's transformation into Kinbote, as Jekyll's into Hyde, leaves a bit of Shade in Kin.  This is an intrusion (an igneous intrusion geologically speaking - - remember - - was it Eric Blore? or am I confusing well?)

I had better retire, it must be past my bedtime.
