DN: GENTLEMEN:  THE CARDS WERE 138, NOT 50, AND THE GEMS STILL IN THE "BARREL" ARE MANY.

JM:  I join Stan K-B's invitation to "come to Dmitri's aid ...after the tough decision has been made" and the gems in the barrel are a hundred and thirty-eight... Love's Labours Wonne.   I keep trying to imagine how these cards are going to be published. I hope that we can get facsimiles of the cards themselves in a nice small box ( like another one VN kept with some of his sentences which he thought he might use one day and he let an interviewer leaf through, as related in "Strong Opinions").
