the-subject heading "TOOL". In it, she wrote about "The Original of Laura" [

sitting, we are told, in a Swiss safety deposit box, hostage to filial
indecision.]
There are already two Brazilian candidates to translate VN's
posthumous cards, as earnest as ernest. And yet, inspite of the delicious
irony of eating the original and translating it, too -there remains
(for me and once again) a nagging technical question: is
TOOL correct? I've often read "The Original Laura", and TOOL
makes more sense.
