Butterfly Exhibition in Nabokov Museum
4.05.2007

The exhibition expected to take place in Vladimir Nabokov Museum from May 5 to 18 will be devoted to one of the major hobbies of the writer, i.e. butterflies.

The project by the young St. Petersburg designer Tatyana Minina is a series of posters featuring butterflies. The designer draws parallels between this passion of the writer and peculiarities of his personality.

Every poster is associated with a certain theme in Nabokov’s writings and presents a story about “coloured hearing”, playing, a person’s doubles, or about butterflies. These stories have no definite plots, but abound in allusions and associations.

Address: 47, Bolshaya Morskaya Street, St. Petersburg (by any transport to Isaakievskaya Ploshchad/ Isaac’s Square)
