That was the last line of the Divine Comedy (and I should have  written "l'amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle")  Not to pretend to learning I don't have, I admit I know the line only because Sara Teasdale quoted it in a poem", was JF's answer to Dmitri on "Dar" and "Father's butterflies".

By coincidence I had also just quoted Dante to Dmitri: ``S'io credesse che mia risposta fosse a persona che mai tornasse al mondo, questa fiamma staria sanza pił scosse..." and I must also confess that I'm not learned in dantesque hells and got it (on purpose) from T.S.Eliot's epigraph to The Love Song of Alfred J. Prufrock.
