I selected some examples of anamorphosis, not the most visually surprising, trying to keep up with a theme discussed in Pale Fire.
The illustration of the process comes from a magazine cover with Cocteau and a cilindrical sample. There is a deformed wall to be seen and its visual "reconstitution" presented in two squares. We also see an elongated Charles II and a more deformed Charles II ( from the book cover) and a caricature that is inviting us to find three where there only one is to be seen.
