Dos lenguajes estАn en Thecla Teresina▓

Quito. La imagen y la palabra se conjugan en un mismo cuento. Es la historia de un ruso que viaja a nuestro paМs y se radica en Quito, fascinado por el universo de las mariposas y por Zulema, una niЯa por la cual pierde la cabeza. El relato forma parte del libro inИdito, ⌠Invitados de honor■, que incluye seis cuentos. ⌠Cada uno estА dedicado a algЗn escritor■, seЯala Javier VАsconez, el autor del trabajo. De aquella selecciСn, VАsconez escogiС ⌠Thecla Teresina■, una fАbula de mariposas ⌠que se basa en la posibilidad de que el escritor ruso Vladimir Nabokov llega al paМs en busca de una serie de insectos alados■, dice su creador. Con el texto en mano, y un proyecto que llevaba mucho tiempo rondando su mente, el escritor empieza el proyecto de editar un libro que mezclarА la exquisitez de los dibujos y las imАgenes que nacen de las palabras. DespuИs de conversarlo en varias ocasiones con la artis! ta Manuela Ribadeneira, llegС el momento de poner manos a la obra. Para ello le entregС el texto a Ribadeneira y juntos exploraron el mundo fantАstico de las mariposas, su color, su brillo, su textura, su forma y ligereza. Esas sensaciones llevaron a la artista a crear toda una colecciСn de dibujos que ahora ilustran a ⌠Thecla Teresina■. Una mariposa de la Amazonia es un Мcono de la ediciСn. Y en casa del autor, en su biblioteca aparece una Morpho azul eternizada en una urnita de cristal. ⌠Fue una experiencia fascinante. Tuve que leer varias veces el cuento, adentrarme en el mundo de las mariposas y dialogar mucho con Xavier para finalmente ilustrar esta historia■, explica la artista. Los dibujos no cuentan la historia, pero introducen al lector en el ambiente y le dan un aspecto decorativo y estИtico al libro, refiere la mujer. Two languages are in Thecla TeresinА

The story comprises of the unpublished book, "Guests of honor", that includes six stories. "Each one is dedicated to some writer", indicates Javier VАsconez, the author of the work.

Of that selection, VАsconez chose "Thecla Teresina", a fable of butterflies "that is based on the possibility that the Russian writer Vladimir Nabokov arrives al country in looks for of a series of winged insects", says its creator.

With the text in hand, and a project that took to long time making the rounds its mind, the writer begins the project to publish a book that will mix the exquisitez of the drawings and the images that are born of the words.

After talking it in several occas! ions with the artist Manuela Ribadeneira, the moment arrived for putting hands to the work. For it it gave the text to him to Ribadeneira and together they explored the fantastic world of the butterflies, its color, its brightness, its texture, its form and lightness.

Those sensations took to the artist to create all a collection of drawings that now illustrate to "Thecla Teresina".

A butterfly of the Amazonia is Мcono of the edition. And in house of the author, in his library it appears a eternizada blue Morpho in a urnita of crystal.

"It was a fascinating experience. I had to read several times the story, to enter to me in the world of the butterflies and to engage in a dialog with Xavier finally to illustrate this history much ", explains the artist.

The drawings do not count history, but they introduce to the reader in the atmosphere and they give a decorative aspect him and aesthetic to the book, it refers the woman.
The work is offered to 19:00 in the Poor Devil (Isabel Cato'lica and GalavМs). Fine Godoy will comment the work.
