The Times Literary Supplement (TLS) that arrived today. Christopher Reid in his "Freelance" column (p.13) makes an extended and most amusing comparison between  the dish-washing scenes in Nicholson Baker's new _A Box of Matches_ in and Nabokov's _Pnin_.
 
George Steiner offers a review essay on Henri Bergson that for  me, at least, clarifies the relationship between Bergson's and Nabokov's views on time (6-7). (VN is not mentioned
 
Most marginally, a review of  a volume of reportage on Berlin 1920-1925 by German journalist and novelist Joseph Roth (What I Saw) that sounds like it might provide useful background for VN's early years there.
